Obituary of Sonja K. White

Sonja (Sonnie) White, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend went to be with the Lord January 16, 2017 at the age of 77. Sonnie, formerly from Colorado Springs and Henderson, Nevada, most recently lived in Parker to be closer to her children Randy (and his wife Renata) White and Mindy (and her husband Bert) Nethercot. She was a loving wife to Gordon for 57 years. Sonnie is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole, Shaye, Drew, Alysha, Katie, Mike and Jenna. She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Orville Heitshusen. Sonnie had a gift for interior design and owned her own design studio in Colorado Springs for many years. When she moved to Henderson, Nevada, she continued her career in interior design and one of her favorite projects was remodeling Tony Curtis' home in Las Vegas. Every client she had was absolutely amazed by her talent. The family suggests memorial donations in Sonnie's memory be made to Dumb Friends League. She had such a passion for animals in need. A Memorial Service will be held for Sonnie at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 9030 Miller Road in Parker.
