Obituary of Robert Roy Stoner

Robert Roy Stoner passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016, with family by his side. Bob was born on December 3, 1935 to Roy Stoner and Mattie (Schackel) Stoner. He grew up on his parent's farm in Potter County, South Dakota. He graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1954 and enrolled at Huron College. Bob was a member of the South Dakota National Guard. On February 14, 1960, he married the love of his life, Glenyce Best. They had three children: Sonja, Steven and Michael. In 1971, the family moved to Longmont, Colorado where Bob and Glenyce lived until 2013 when they moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado to be near family. Bob's career was spent in the grocery industry and as a small business owner. Bob was loved for his kind and gentle nature and positive attitude. Beloved husband, father and grandfather. Bob is survived by his wife, Glenyce; children, Sonja (Andrew) Barnett, Michael (Christina) Stoner; grandchildren, Robert Barnett, Alyssa Stoner and Nathan Stoner. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Steven. A Private Life Celebration will be held. Service Information
