Obituary of Dwight Icenhour

Dwight "Ike" Icenhour, 71, died June 8, 2016 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Ike was born in Gunnison, Colorado on July 25, 1944 to Virginia (Grigsby) and Otto Icenhour. A proud American, Ike served aboard the USS Hancock in the US Navy from 1962-1965. In 1965, Ike met his wife, Barbara Randall of Littleton. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree from Western State College in 1970 and began his 45 year career with State Farm that same year. Ike enjoyed reading, telling jokes, and spending time with friends and family. He found tremendous pleasure in maintaining his saltwater aquariums filled with beautiful corals and tropical fish. Favorite memories include annual adventures at Lake Powell, trips to Alaska, and fall foliage trips with lifelong friend Gene Tague. Ike is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara, daughter Lisa (Gabe), sons Mark and Brad (Jessica), grandchildren Oliver, Kenzie and Isadora, sisters Sandy, Sherry, and Regina (Dave) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Otto, and mother Virginia. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Parker PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Ave. in Parker. A Reception will follow the Memorial Service at the PACE Center. Graveside Services will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. 2:15 p.m., Staging Area "C". Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ike's memory may be made to Agape Hospice Foundation, 6041 S.
