Jonathan Frost

Obituary of Jonathan R. Frost

JONATHAN ROBERT FROST September 11, 1969 - March 30, 2012 Jon was born in Scottsbluff Nebraska. He always thought of Nebraska as his special state. Scottsbluff was his home several times during his childhood and as an adult. Jon and his brother David would spend the summers playing baseball and staying with Dee's parents. As a result of those summers and numerous camping and fishing trips, Jon grew very close to his grandparents. Jon started his academic life in the head start program in Sheridan, Colorado. Jon attended Littleton Schools thru junior high, and began his school athletic participation with wrestling at Isaac Newton Junior High. Jon was Ponderosa High School class of 1988 and played Lacrosse. After high school, he worked in the restaurant industry. He worked in the ski industry at Winter Park, living his love of skiing. Jon attended Colorado Aerotech and became a licensed Aircraft Mechanic. He loved anything mechanical which led to a long career in auto mechanics. The pride of his life was his daughter, Kathryn McKellar born February 13, 1990. She was the highlight of his life and he enjoyed the time he was able to spend with her. He was able to see her graduate from High school in West Plains Missouri and from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Jon married Jen Hall in 1991.They lived in a small house in Aurora, Colorado. Jon was next off to Scottsbluff. He spent several years caring for his grandparents, Bill and Helen Thorpe and met his second wife Carol Moore. Jon found stock car racing in Scottsbluff, and was the caregiver for his grandparents. Jon moved to Greeley next for a few years and then to Denver. Jon loved fishing, camping, auto racing, and most sports. His dogs were very close to him which led him to start a career as a vet tech. His injury in July 2010 put that goal on hold. He always wanted to be outdoors. Jon cared deeply about people and always did what he could to help others. Jon was a most precious son to his best friend, his Mother. They cared deeply for each other and would do anything for each other. A mother's love is a strong bond. We leave you in God's hands. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, 5:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 19580 E. Pilgrims Place in Parker. Service Information
