Obituary of Virginia Adele Schmidt

Virginia "Jinny" Schmidt of Parker, CO passed away on March 28, 2012. She was born in Chicago, IL to Charles Edward Hudson and Adelaide J. Alexander. Jinny was a loving wife and mother. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Harold Edward Schmidt, whom she met while serving as a Wave in the U. S. Navy in Hawaii during WWII. Her biggest accomplishments in life were the service to her country and her four children: Jim (Pam) Schmidt, Evergreen, CO; Hank Schmidt, Parker, CO; Karen (Dick) Nichols, Houston, TX; Bill (Linda) Schmidt, Westminster, CO. She is also survived by her granddaughters: Jennifer (Justin) Wendel, great grandson, Parker Ryan Wendel, Austin, TX; Pamela (Kevin) White, Austin, TX. Jinny loved to paint, dance, bowl, and play golf making many friends along the way. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Ave Maria Catholic Church, 9056 E. Parker Road, Parker, CO 80138, 303.841.3750. The Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM followed by The Catholic Mass at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be served following Mass. Burial will be held at Ft. Logan Cemetery with military honors at 2:30 PM. Donations may be made in Honor of Virginia A.
