Obituary of Karen D. Minton

Karen Denise Minton, of Castle Pines, CO, passed away peacefully with family at her side on March 9, 2020.

Karen was born on October 14, 1949 in Perryton, TX to Jimmie and Maxine (May) Palmer.  Karen grew up in Perryton, TX.  On September 15, 1968, Karen married John E. Minton from Fay, OK.  Karen attended Oklahoma University, Tulsa University and Cal-State Bakersfield.

Karen's greatest joy was being a stay-at-home mom and she enjoyed cooking, china painting, quilting, cross stitch, OU football, and attending music concerts with her husband.

Karen is survived by her husband, John, son, Christopher Minton (Mirjam) of Austin, TX, daughter, Jennifer Minton (Brad) of Denver, CO and her sister, Cheryl (Jimmie) Rhoderick of Amarillo, TX.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel in Tulsa, OK.  Final Resting Place will be Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, OK.  A Celebration of Life will start at 4:00 p.m. at McNellies Downtown.
