Obituary of Arlinda Kay Fivehouse

It is with great sadness that the family of Arlinda Kay Fivehouse announces her passing on Monday, May 4, 2020, at the age of 68.  Her joy for life, infectious smile and abundant love for her family and friends was apparent to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be sorely missed.  As a Wife, Mother, Nana, Aunt, Sister and Friend to many, she always had time to lend a listening ear and offer a much-needed hug.

Arlinda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Neal, and their children, Amanda and Megan.  Arlinda will also be forever remembered by her grandchildren Mikhala and Jace, her son-in-law Grover, her sister Annie, and brothers Tom and Buck.  Her loving spirit will be fondly remembered by her extended family of in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Arlinda grew up in Hot Springs, NM and in 1970 she moved to Colorado with her family. She met her husband, Neal, in 1971 and briefly moved to the Grand Canyon before settling down in Aurora, CO where they began their family.  Arlinda worked for Safeway for 30 years before retiring in 2002. After her retirement, she began her most fulfilling and significant job of helping to care for her grandchildren.  Throughout her life, Arlinda enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and bunco.  She also had a love for crafting, going to the movies with her family and friends, and thrift store shopping.

Due to COVID-19, we are unable to host funeral services at this time.  In lieu of flowers, we are choosing to remember Arlinda with a donation to Love Your Hood and ask others to do the same in her memory.  Please visit the link below and in the special instructions section, indicate your donation is in honor of Arlinda Fivehouse.  A celebration of her life will take place sometime in the future.
