Obituary of Linda Mae White

Linda Mae White

September 17, 1956 – May 11, 2020

Linda Mae White passed away peacefully on May 11, 2020 in Parker, Colorado at the age of 63.  Linda battled pancreatic cancer for 14 months and her Christian faith sustained her during this time.  She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Morgan and Nettie Redding and was the youngest of four children.

Linda grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Robbinsdale-Cooper High School, New Hope.  She later graduated with honors from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder in 1996.  She spent the last 10 years of her career working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Department of Labor after working in the private sector.  She also volunteered at Sanborn and Kruse Elementary Schools.

Linda was known for her big smile, kind heart, zest for life and love for her family and friends.  She enjoyed sharing her wonderful cooking and trading recipes and techniques with friends.  Linda also had a passion for creating personalized embroidered gifts.  In particular, she loved making sewn, embroidered and appliqued gifts for children and babies.  Over 100 family members and friends have received her embroidered Santa hats!  After retirement, Linda and Wayne traveled to 32 states as part of their goal to visit all 50 states together. There were also many trips to California and Florida to visit friends, family and the Disney parks. She will be sorely missed.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Wayne, with whom she shared 8 wonderful years of marriage, a daughter Larissa Armand and her husband Justin Kever of Colorado, sisters Patricia (Michael) Anderson of Florida, Ruth (Mike) Berke of Wisconsin and a brother David (Jan Cummings) Redding of Minnesota.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the University of Colorado Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (https://giving.cu.edu/fund/pancreatic-cancer-research-fund) or any pancreatic cancer charity of your choice.  Linda received all of her treatment at the University of Colorado Cancer Center at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Parker.   Final Resting Place is in the Columbarium at Parker Cemetery.
