I'm sending my love and condolences to the wonderful Kinnear family.
I just learned today of Scott's passing and am devistated to say the least!
I loved everything about Scott as he was a very special person with many many talents and gifts! I very much enjoyed our time working together at Robinson Brick Co. all those years ago and continuing our friendship for many years afterward.
I believe if Scott and I hadn't worked together back then, Scott wouldn't have recommeded Parker Dance for my younger daughter Magnolia & that there would be a real possibility Maggie might not have ever come to Parker Dance and experience the loving support of Kim Kinnear and her staff and become such an accomplished professional dancer. Thank you Scott!
My love and prayers go to all of the family. Please know your are in my heart, thoughts and prayers at his difficult time.
Love you brother!

I will always have good memories of Scott. I enjoyed our conversations. We usually discussed cars, concerts, progressive rock, guitars, traditional jazz (through his grandfather's influence, and my dad being a traditional jazz lover as well), and finally good travel spots. I remember how Scott enjoyed being involved with music production, and I really appreciated the fact he took an active interest in encouraging my son to compose and record his own piano music.
As a businessman of many years myself, I really respected and admired Scott's strong work ethic, and his
"all hands on deck" commitment to his former employer to get things done at work. Scott, I'm sure, was like the ultimate
multi-purpose tool employee, any employer would have been happy to have.
Scott was a fine family man as well, who looked out for his family, which I also admired. Scott was a person with many unique interests, and an easy person to like; I will truly miss him.

We had the pleasure of meeting, and spending time with, Mr. Scott on only a few occasions, but each time felt like we were old friends. Mr. Scott was a kind and warm-hearted man. Our family was so grateful to him and the Kinnears for treating Johnny like one of their own. Mr. Scott will be missed. May he rest in peace. With love, Ares and Sarah Christakis

Scott and Kim are like very close cousins to us, their children, second cousins. Over the 33 years that our families interacted, from picnics to happy hours, Water World to museums, CSO concert to birthday parties, dinners to art shows, etc., there is so much shared history! Lively, fun discussions, to occasional provocative conversations - we all felt safe around each other to just be ourselves.
I loved how Scott supported his family in their endeavors, and kept his ear low to the ground to protect them. He even kept his protective eye on me once when I went running into the "wave pool" at Water World, and went a little too far as gigantic waves crashed upon me. He was dutiful and loyal; as Al would say, "Scott was solid."
I also admired Scott's profound knowledge of sea animals, and the extreme particulars to care for the creatures in their home acquarium. When Ocean Journey opened up, then almost folded after a year, Scott became an activist to try and save what is now known as Denver Acquarium.
It is hard to imagine that Scott is no longer with us; he lived a bold and adventurous life, loving the outdoors and all bustle that it had to offer. He died the way he lived, in action, breathing in the autumn air as he rode his motorcycle, looking forward to coming home to his Beloved.
