Obituary of Charles William Bolton Jr.

Charles William “Bill” Bolton Jr., passed away unexpectedly at his home in Parker,
Colorado on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the age of 52.

Bill was born on June 9, 1968 in Helena, Montana. He was raised in Montana and
California by his parents, Charles “Chuck” and Darlene Bolton. He went to Riverside
Poly High School in Riverside, CA and received his Aviation Maintenance Technician
certification and education from Colorado Aerotech in 1991, which began a lifelong
career in aviation. Aviation was a true passion for him. From a very young age he
showed a strong mechanical aptitude and a natural love of airplanes. There was nothing
Bill couldn’t fix, from airplanes to cars to garbage disposals.

Bill loved his family, the outdoors, aviation, and animals. He valued family and
friendship above all. He was a lifelong Raiders fan and never missed cheering on, or
often, cursing the outcome of a game. Bill was married for twenty years to Melissa
Bolton and they had two amazing daughters together, Kaitlyn and Lily, of whom he was
immeasurably proud and loved beyond words. His happiest moments were spent
sharing his passions, including the outdoors, animals, and aviation, with his girls. Bill’s
career took him all over the country, including Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana,
Montana, Nevada, New York, Utah, and Washington, where he worked with pride for
companies like Boeing, Frontier Airlines, SkyWest, and Sierra Nevada Corp. Along with
aviation and the outdoors, he loved animals and was never without a beloved Akita dog
to spoil, along with cats, reptiles, birds, and salt and freshwater aquariums. Bill was truly
larger than life, both in stature and in personality. His boisterous, generous, and loving
presence will be sorely missed.

Bill is survived by his wife, Melissa, daughters Kaitlyn (16) and Lily (12), parents Chuck
and Darlene Bolton, sister Becky (Destry) Randles, mother-in-law Jeanette Olsen,
sister-in-law Anna Olsen, brother-in-law Rob (Ryan) Olsen, his nephews Morgan,
Rohnin, and Gabriel Randles, and a very large extended family in Montana.
Memorial services will be held privately among close family at a later date to be
determined.
