Obituary of Leonard Earl Rice

Leonard Earl Rice, 80, of Simla, CO passed away on November 3, 2020. He was born July 8, 1940 in Davin, West Virginia to Earl Lowell Rice and Vaundia Vance Rice. Leonard was married to Janet Barksdale on October 7, 1964. They had three children; son, Len, daughter, Pamela and son, Byron. Leonard was a retired construction superintendent, and was active in the Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. 

Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Janet Marie Rice of Simla, CO.; children; Len (Mary) Rice of Albuquerque, NM, Pamela (Steve) Nordini of Parker, CO. and Byron (Salina Montano_ Rice of Parker, CO.; grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Rice of Albuquerque, NM., Stephen, Noelle and Scott Nordini of Parker, CO., and Derek Rice of Parker, CO. Brother, Frank Rice of Texas, John (Jeanie) Rice of West Virginia, Benjamin (Kay) Rice of Georgia; sisters, Dottie Butcher of Texas and Dorcas Harkness of Georgia. He is also survived by many endearing nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 9am on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Crossroads Community Church, 9900 S. Twenty Mile Rd., Parker, Colorado 80134 and a private committal service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
