Obituary of Janet Maye Falenski

Janet Maye (Altamos) Falenski,89, of Parker, CO, formerly of Natrona Heights, PA, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021 with her family by her side.

Janet was born on December 27, 1931 to the late Katherine (Karolkowski) Altamos and Jacob H. Altamos. She was a graduate of Harbrack High School.  Janet was married for nearly 60 years to the late Edward A. Falenski. She was the mother to Kathy Falenski and husband, Joe Gelsomine, of Freehold, NJ, Alan and Judy Falenski of Castle Rock, CO, John Falenski of Dallas, OR (formerly of Parker, CO) and Lisa Falenski (Jaimes Contreras) of Pittsburgh, PA; and grandmother to Heather Falenski of Castle Rock, CO, Lauren Falenski and husband, Rene Carrasco, of Miramar, FL, and Jason Falenski of Castle Rock, CO, all of whom survive her. Janet is also survived by several nieces and nephews in California, Colorado, New York and Pennsylvania.

Janet was a devoted Catholic and deeply dedicated to St. Therese of Lisieux and her “little way”: spreading warmth, love, generosity and friendship to everyone she met. She loved to laugh and sing, and was a lifetime fan of Neil Diamond and Barbara Streisand, with a beautiful voice of her own. Janet loved to cook and bake, and indulge in any mystery she could find in print or on screen. Above all, she cherished her family and the time they could spend together.
