Brooke Ehrman Ebel

Obituary of Brooke Ehrman Ebel

Brooke Ehrman Ebel, born in Great Falls, MT, on November 8, 1961, died in Littleton, Colorado, on March 12, 2021. She was a beacon of love in this world. Always seeking truth and ways to better herself, she lived an examined life and was present in all she did. Brooke was synonymous with love. She made everyone she touched a better person. Brooke was remarkable in many ways, from her beautiful art and her understanding of the human mind & spirit to her unwavering devotion to being the best mother she could be. Everything she did, she did with presence and love. She leaves a chasm in the hearts of those who loved her that could swallow the universe.

Brooke was born in the beautiful Big Sky country of Montana and grew up in the warm tropics of South Florida. After living in Tallahassee, Florida, where she attended Florida State University, Clearwater, FL, and Conway, Arkansas – she could no longer resist the lure of the mountains and returned again to the west, where she has made her home in Colorado and lived there from 1993 until her passing in 2021. Brooke was a high school nutrition and relationships teacher, a Certified Nutrition Therapist, and a Nutrition Coach. She continued to pursue her art career, creating a host of colorful, nature-inspired “light cell” oil paintings featuring bright, colorful flowers and dramatic high-relief images that took hours of calculated and patient color mixing and paint application. Her work was shown at getthegallery.com, The Lone Tree Arts Center, The Wildlife Experience Museum, Deep Space Gallery and Denver Botanic Gardens. Her work was also featured at Fat Tail Gallery and Space Gallery.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter Sophia Ebel, her mother Marlys Ehrman, her father Robert Ehrman, and her brother Troy Ehrman. She will be missed by so many others, including her stepchildren Eric, Allison, and Claudia, her closest friends Joe, Donna, Lisa, Crystal, and too many more to mention. Her joy and innocent way of being will live on in all of us. Rest in peace, Brookie.
