Obituary of Timothy Hays Shewmaker

On Sunday, April 11, 2021, Timothy Hays Shewmaker, loving husband, father, and grandfather went to be with Jesus at the age of 63.

He was born on March 27, 1958 in Alton, Illinois. He married Terri Rae on June 11th, 1988 and they raised three children, Seth, Emma, and Elizabeth and a granddaughter, Charlee, all residing in Colorado. He was a salesman and President/Business Owner of More Than Seafood Inc. He loved his work and the relationships built with his many customers developed into meaningful friendships. Tim was a Colorado resident for 39 years, up until the time of his death. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate heart. He loved his family well and fought for them even harder. He always put Jesus first, his family second, and others next.

Tim was preceded in death by his father Walter Shewmaker, mother Margaret (Sowers) Shewmaker Pierce, step-father Paul Pierce, and two brothers John David, and Thomas Edward "Eddie." He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Walter "Kip" and Gloria Shewmaker (Fosterburg, IL), his wife Terri, his three children Seth, Emma, and Elizabeth, and granddaughter Charlee as well as multiple nieces and nephews. The memorial service has been scheduled for this Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 2:00 at Lifegate Denver: 10200 E Girard Ave. Building D Denver Colorado 80231. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tim's name to Prison Fellowship or Go4word.
