So sorry to hear this news. I will always remember how Greg and I had a good time over a beer in Reston or Colorado. Greg was a very caring person and always ready to help. He will be missed by many. RIP

Greg was like a brother to me and I will miss him dearly. I and my family were all heartbroken to hear of his passing. He and I spent a lot of time together for the for the first few years after he served as a missionary in my family’s ward. We worked a tree business together during the summers, we hunted, we golfed, and we laughed…a lot! One of my favorite things about Greg was his sense of humor. He was bold and hilarious! I would often hurt from laughing with Greg! Greg was known as “Doc” to our family for various reasons. He often quoted a scene from the movie Spies Like Us where Chevy Chase and Dan Ackroyd are impersonating doctors and being introduced to a group of other doctors. Greg would often quote the alternating greeting of each doctor “Doctor (head nod). Doctor (head nod).” He was also amazing at fixing computer problems. So he eventually was simply and lovingly call “Doc.” Greg was very generous with his time and loyal to his friends. I really loved that about him. I will miss him greatly but know that God will continue to be with him and will guide and watch over your family (Daria, Nick, Noah, Gracie) until you are reunited with him again.

I was fortunate to have had the chance to work closely with Greg on an almost daily basis for nearly two years at Hitachi. Greg and I achieved a lot of business success as a team and much of that success was due to Greg’s drive and commitment. Most of our time together was spent in New York City and Long Island where our days began at 7:00 am and ended at 10:00 pm. Working with Greg never seemed like work because we had too much fun going about it. I got to know Greg very well during that time and our friendship stayed active after we each had departed Hitachi. During this time, I learned from Greg how much his family meant to him. He was very proud of his children and spoke often about his wife and his father who he clearly admired. Greg’s passion for all things was infectious and every phone conversation I had with him was time well spent. While Greg may be gone, he touched so many of us that his impact will last forever. You will be missed Greg but never forgotten. God bless.

Greg was an incredible teammate and friend. During our years together at Hitachi and after, Greg always went "above and beyond" expectations. His creativity, professionalism, sense of humor, and overall great nature drew people towards him and all were better for it. There was no "setting the bar" with Greg, it was always "what's needed and THAT's the bar to achieve" - regardless of what it took to get it done. All who knew Greg were blessed to know him - he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.

My condolences to your family, and I hope you'll enjoy this story that I have of Greg.
Greg was definitely one of a kind. Never at any other time has anyone asked me to pick him up at the airport for a client meeting. Greg did. We had a meeting scheduled in Longmont, just north of Denver. I picked him up after he flew in from... wait for it... Denver. Just 30 miles away. He could have driven to the meeting just as easily...
One of a kind. I'll miss him for sure.

Greg was always so full of life and fun to be around. I had the pleasure of working with him at Hitachi and he was a brilliant professional who always find time for others. When he came to Montreal for a visit I had the pleasure to spend a couple of days with him showing him around and even making him eat snails. I will miss him dearly and my heart goes to his children and loved ones. Rest In Peace Greg .

Greg was a true class act and such an impressive man from his education to his hobbies to his pure kindness. We had plans to go to a Spring Training game in Phoenix but then Spring Training was canceled (with everything else) due to Covid. I'm so sorry we didn't get to see each other. It was a pleasure working with you.

One of the funniest memories I have of Greg was the time I invited Greg to go pheasant hunting with me handsome of my boys. Having never hunted before Greg wasn't tuned into how to dress or what to bring. He shows up at our house the morning of the hunt at about 6 am ready to go to Nebraska for the 5 day hunt. IIt was the winter time and Greg showed up in dress slacks , italian loafers with no cash and an out-of-town check! We all got a kick out of his appearance. But to his credit , he hung in there and did get his bird. I made him a custom trophy in my woodshed to commemorate his first pheasant hunt. As for his low-cut italian loafers after 5 days of hunting in the snow.....they were unrecognizable! Greg was such a good sport about going. And funny? He was hilarious. We will sorely miss him.
