John Diak

Obituary of John Joseph Diak

John Joseph Diak, 81, of Parker, Colorado entered into eternal life on July 10, 2021 at home in his favorite lounge chair.

John was born on October 26, 1939 in Danville, PA to adoring parents Joseph and Madeline (Slavinsky) Diak. He graduated from La Salle University in 1965, and soon wed the love of his life, Kathleen Marie Klein, on August 6, 1966 at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA. John was a proud United States Air Force Veteran, and had worked very hard in his careers as an accountant (retired) as well as a local business owner.

John enjoyed giving back to his community, and was always willing to help anyone who could benefit from his professional expertise as well as providing professional services to local organizations. The Praying Hands Ranch, Parker Senior Center, Double Angel Ballpark, and the Miller Safety Center are a few of the many institutions that John not only assisted, but left his legacy of kindness and helpfulness. When he wasn’t busy helping the local area, John could be found enjoying a round of golf, watching sports, doing word puzzles, collecting coins, participating in financial analysis, cruises, and a good meal! He loved a good Philly Cheese Steak or rare steak/prime rib while drinking a margarita with salt, “easy on the ice.” But most importantly, John loved spending time with his family over everything, especially with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen “Kathy” Diak, and children, Denise Holder and husband Jeff of Fort Collins, CO, John Diak and wife Noelle of Parker, CO, alongside Danielle Forrest and husband Bryan of Parker, CO. He will also be sorely missed by his grandchildren, Quinn Holder of Fort Collins, CO, Ethan Holder of Loveland, CO, Justin, Tyler, and Mikaya Diak of Parker, CO, as well as Camden, Torrin, and Easton Forrest of Parker, CO. His brother Donald Diak, and his wife, Patricia, of Dillsburg, PA are also left to cherish the memories of John. He was preceded in death by his parents, Madeline and Joseph Diak.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in John’s name to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
