Obituary of Linda Mae Zoetewey

Linda Mae Zoetewey, 77, of Aurora, Colorado went to be with The Lord on July 12, 2021.

 

Linda was born to loving parents, (Mom) Violet (Gerkin) Mahr and (Dad) Clair Mahr in Aurora, Illinois  on December 21, 1943. Linda had a passion for life, and could always be found reading, sewing, gambling, spending time with family, or cooking & baking. Anyone who knew Linda, knew whatever she had cooking in the kitchen would be DELICIOUS. Linda had the most beautiful soul, everyone she met, she touched their lives. She never went anywhere without a smile. Her love and passion for life was admirable. She was incredibly strong, a little bit of a spit fire, and the most loving woman. Linda brightened every room she walked in, and never talked to anyone without giving them a compliment and trying to make their day.  Linda shared a special bond with so many people. She touched many lives and made such an impact with every interaction she had. Linda was the best listener and the most beautiful person inside and out. 

 

Linda is survived by her adoring husband, George E. Zoetewey, who she wed on April 12, 1968 in Denver, Colorado, and her loving children, Scott Zoetewey (Jennifer) of San Ramon, CA, Steve Zoetewey (Angie) of Aurora, CO, and Tobbie Richardson (Jeff) of Aurora, CO. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Scott Zoetewey Jr. (Marissa) of Martinez, CA, Brandon Zoetewey (Amanda) of Martinez, CA, Justin Zoetewey (Jamie) of Pleasant Hill, CA, Mandi Cohoon (Jimmy) of Aurora, CO, Steva Vallor of Aurora, CO, Austin Zoetewey (Ishvi) of Aurora, CO, Cole Zoetewey of Aurora, CO, Shyanna Leyva (Luis) of Aurora, CO, Jaedyn Calicchia of Aurora, CO, Tyler Richardson( Brittani) of Roland Park, KS, Trent Richardson of Los Angeles, CA, and Maddie Richardson of Aurora, CO. She will also be sorely missed by her great-grandchildren, Keira, Levi, Wyatt, Marisa, Westlee, Jace, Peyton, Liam, Dotti, Kaden, Gavin, Alaya Mae, Payton, Ella, and Jace. Brothers, Conrad Mahr of Elizabeth, CO, and Glenn Mahr (Martha) of Franktown, CO, alongside sisters, Donna Hartman of Castle Rock, CO, Deanna Brady of Monument, CO, and Gloria Mahr (Sister in Law) of  Littleton, CO are also left to remember her vibrant soul. She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Clair Mahr.

 

A Visitation will be held on August 26, 2021 at Ponderosa Valley Funeral Services, followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00am on August 27, 2021 at the PACE Center (20000 Pikes Peak Drive, Parker CO 80138).
