Obituary of Travis Lionel Lenhart

Travis Lenhart passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2021. Born July 26, 1971 to Samuel and Joan (Roth) Lenhart in West Reading, Pennsylvania, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kevin Lenhart.

Travis attended Schuylkill Valley High School before earning a bachelor's degree in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University. Travis then attended University of Pittsburgh for his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and continued to the University of Virginia where he graduated summa cum laude with a masters degree in Computer Engineering. His talents and dedication led him to a successful career with Lockheed Martin. On October 29, 2011, he married Jennifer Wright and they welcomed daughter Johanna in September 2014.  After 40+ years in Pennsylvania, he and his family followed new job opportunities to Colorado.

Travis had a brilliant, inquisitive mind and a genuine thirst for knowledge. He was awarded the Thomas A. Edison Patent Award in 2016 as recognition for a patented methodology that significantly improved the efficiency of operations test systems for defense projects. It was a proud moment for Travis and just one example of his hard work and drive to make improvements in his field.

Travis was a dedicated and loving father, husband, and friend. He was a wealth of information that he loved to share with others, especially over a pint of strong Belgian or craft beer. He shared his love of German culture and language with his wife Jennifer and daughter Johanna. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Burial will be at Leesport Cemetery in Leesport, Pennsylvania. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
