Obituary of Wanda Lea Sandau

Wanda Lea Sandau, 89, of Parker, Colorado passed away on January 11, 2022.  

Wanda was born January 1, 1933 in Lebanon, Missouri to parents Ezra Busick and Oma (Pruitt) Busick. In 1941 the family moved from Missouri to Southern California where she lived until 1996.   Wanda married her first husband, Ralph Gephart, on January 7, 1950. In February of 1951 they welcomed their son, Greg.  In 1959 Wanda married Willard Sandau and daughter Robin was born. During her working years Wanda worked as a crane operator, seamstress and provided in-home childcare for several families.   In 1977 she earned her Cosmetology License and greatly enjoyed her job and friends at the Golden Mirror Beauty Salon in Torrance, California. In 1984 Wanda took over the loving job of caring for her 1st grandson Christopher and in 1990 her 2nd grandson Gregory in their youngest years.  Also in 1990 Kallie was born and Wanda traveled to WA to welcome her 1st granddaughter.  In 1995 another grandson, Jake joined the family and Wanda traveled to CO to help care for him in his early weeks.  In 1996 Wanda moved to the State of WA where she welcomed the addition of another granddaughter, Brooke.  She loved her time with her granddaughters. After several visits, Wanda moved to CO in 2011 where she resided until her passing. 

Throughout the years Wanda had a wide range of interests.  She enjoyed playing softball and watching baseball. She was an excellent seamstress and quilter, she loved camping and gardening, she enjoyed The Lawrence Welk Show, Hee Haw and Bull fights from Tijuana on tv.  She loved to dance, loved babies and loved to laugh.  In her most recent years she doted on and adored her cat, Molly and dog, Cricket.  They kept her entertained and had her trained well.   

Wanda is survived by her children, Greg Gephart and Robin (Darren) Harmon both of Parker Colorado. Grandchildren; Christopher (Rachele) McCollum of Winchester, Virginia, Gregory Harmon of Aurora, Colorado, Kallie Gephart of Denver, Colorado, Jake Harmon of Englewood, Colorado and Brooke Ritzman of Denver, Colorado alongside great-grandchildren; Kyleigh, Rhyan, Melody and Emersyn, her sister, Shirley (Danny) Theodosis of Glenn, California along with many nieces, nephews and their families.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Oma Busick, her sisters, Peggy Pickering and Freda Cheek and her brother, Denny Busick.
