Crystal Walls

Obituary of Crystal Alice Walls

Crystal Alice Walls, 33, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away on February 17, 2022.

Crystal was born on January 17, 1989 in Yongsan Army Hospital, South Korea under the US flag to adoring parents, Chong Im Yang and Conrad Kerry Walls, since her father was serving in the Army at that time.  Crystal grew up spending time at numerous military installations enjoying the wide ranges of diversity and ethnic interaction.  She was a very happy and cheerful little girl.  She made many good friends and was a very loyal person.  As she grew up and went through school, she participated in many activities but she thoroughly enjoyed participation in Army JROTC.  She was part of the drill team, rifle team and helped the school win numerous awards.

She adored her older sister Heather, who she was very close with.  They both enjoyed trying many different types of foods and enjoyed experiencing many of the pleasures that life has to offer.  After high school, Crystal enlisted into the United States Airforce, where she worked in the realm of intelligence. It was here that Crystal received her Associates Degree in Intelligence from the Community College of the Airforce. After about 6yrs she left the military to pursue her love of food and restaurants getting her foot in the door by Bartending and serving. Crystal had such a good heart and a loving caring free spirit.  She loved Motown and EDM Music, collecting Pokemon and all things Hello Kitty, and going out to dance with friends. Even when she was dealing with her own health conditions she would give of what she had in order to help others in need. Crystal had a magnetic appeal that could not be ignored and drew people in since the day she was born and throughout the rest of her life. She cared deeply for her family, friends and fur-babies.

Crystal is survived by her adoring parents, Chong Im Yang and Conrad Kerry Walls, little-big sister, Heather Hope Walls, and her beloved boyfriend, Dustin Knutson who was a devoted, loving caring man who stood by her without hesitation during her last years until she was called to leave us.  He is to be commended, respected and praised for steadfastness, faithfulness and unwavering love to her. She will also be sorely missed by her first dog Copper, and her two fur-babies, dogs Lexi, an Australian Cattle dog and Boomer, a Black Lab.
