Obituary of Barbara H. Bishop

Barbara H. Bishop, 88, of Parker, CO passed away on March 2, 2022.  Survived by and married nearly 65 years to the love of her life, Colonel (Ret.) Ronald J. Bishop Jr., Barbara was the ultimate military wife.  Barbara is the beloved mother of 4 children; Denise Bishop, Mark Bishop, Brad Bishop (Sheryl), Lisa Toratti (Ted).  Barbara is additionally survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  In addition to her love for her family, Barbara was an amazing artist who filled her children’s homes with her creative artwork.  She was a master of mahjong, enjoying a competitive game with her dear friends weekly.  Barbara had an incredibly soft heart for animals, supporting many charities with animal preservation at their core. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Willard and Virginia Hilwig and her sister Audrey Smarkusky. 

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, March 10th, 2022, 2:00PM at Ponderosa Valley Funeral Services, 10470 S. Progress Way #106, Parker, CO 80134.
