Obituary of Eleanor Joyce Jarstfer

Eleanor Joyce Jarstfer of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on May 9, 2022.  She was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 2, 1935 to Violet Pearson.  Eleanor met her husband, Charles William Jarstfer. They were united on March 24, 1956 in Battle Creek, Michigan.  She worked as a bus driver for Jefferson County and enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her loving family.   

She was a devoted and proud mother, grandmother, wife, and sister who loved to travel and fiercely loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eleanor’s family loved her deeply and will forever cherish the memories they shared together.  She is survived by her children Joyce E. Martin (daughter) and Michael D. Martin (son-in-law) Parker, Colorado; Mary Jarstfer (daughter-in-law) Brunswick, Ohio.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer (granddaughter) and Aaron Nible (Aurora, Colorado); Heather Martin (Parker, Colorado); Sarah (granddaughter) and Jason Powell (Dayton, Ohio); Andrew Jarstfer (Middleburg Heights, Ohio), great grandchildren Treavor Martin (Parker, Colorado), Gannon Nible (Aurora, Colorado); Riley Powell, Madison Powell, and Levi Powell (Middleburg Heights, Ohio) and Casey Jarstfer (Middleburg Heights, Ohio), and sisters Lynn Hopler (South Carolina); Lee Watt (Broomfield, Colorado)

Preceded in death by Shirley Brown (sister); Douglas Charles Jarstfer (son); Violet M. Pearson (mother); Charles William Jarstfer (husband)

Grave side services will be held for Mrs. Jarstfer on May 18th  2022 at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 12:00 O'clock PM
