I am so sad to hear about the passing of my cousin Pat. I had not seen you since we were kids Pat. My memories of you are so fond. Sitting in a big circle with all the cousins in front of your house and playing games. You were such a loving and joyful boy then! I wish you so much peace now and peace to your family as well. I am thinking about all of your brothers and sister and sending you all love and sincere condolences.

So sad to hear of Pat’s passing. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends. Pat was a very close friend in High School. I will forever remember him as one of the kindest, humblest, smartest, generous men I have known, and cherish the memories from High School, College visits. Summer Breaks and beyond. Rest in peace my Dear Friend.

Dear Kathy and Family…So many great memories. When Pat was attending Notre Dame, I lived nearby and offered an open invitation to come for dinner. He smiled and said “I’d never pass up the opportunity for a home cooked meal.” He would always greet me with a smile and a huge bear hug…my feet dangling a foot off the ground. Please know my love, thoughts, and prayers are with all of you.

Pat will certainly be missed by so many. I met Pat through his architectural practice, but he immediately made me feel as though we were friends, not just casual working associates. The passage of many years made it clear friendship wasn't just an impression he could cultivate, but an actual commitment to those he worked with to be fair, honest, team-minded, etc. - in other words a true friend. Pat was our client on the first engineering project I worked on as a structural engineer, in my first engineering job. Over 25 years later, we were still working together, and still friends. My condolences to Kathy and the family, his associates at PWN, and to all the other friends who are left with a void by his passing. To his family, thank you for sharing him with us, and you will remain in my prayers.

It is with a truly sad heart that I heard of Pat Nook’s passing. I knew Pat on a professional basis although we did many projects on a personal level. I first met Pat over thirty years ago when we worked on a project with another one of our clients. Pat was acting as an architectural consultant on the project. Since then, I have worked with Pat and his firm, PWN Architects and Planners on a regular basis and I got to know Pat and Kathy very well. I found Pat conducted his business with the highest integrity. I am proud to call Pat a client but more importantly a friend. May he rest in peace.

Kathy, Katelyn and all our loving cousins and families. We are so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. We were so blessed to be cousins and the babies of two large families living only blocks apart, so many great memories we shared. Pat was always a gentle giant to me. Growing up he was always so kind, sharing and fun to be with. As the years past by we hadn't seen each other much, but if we did we could pick right up where we left off. I will continue to think of Pat often and when I do, I will see that warm loving smile he had. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult of times.

Pat: You were my best friend growing up in South Haven. We lived three doors down from each other. We went to school together from kindergarten at Lincoln, grade school at St. Basil, high school at LC Mohr to college at Notre Dame. After college, we went our separate ways - you to Denver and me to Chicago. We rarely saw each other over the years and talked mostly when we needed to send each other condolences for a family member's passing. Now, I'm sending my condolences to your wife Kathy (funny how we both married a Kathy). I have so many great memories of our growing up together along with all the cousins and friends who lived in our neighborhood. May you rest in peace my friend.
