Obituary of Dorothy Marie Diekmann

Dorothy Marie Diekmann, 86, passed away June 13, 2022 at Lincoln Meadows Senior Living in Parker, CO.

Dorothy was born on April 20, 1936 in Carroll, IA and was the Daughter of Harold and Lil Berns. She grew up on her family's farm near Glidden, IA. Dorothy graduated from Glidden High School in 1954. 

Dorothy married Ray Diekmann on Oct. 21, 1956 at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden.

Dorothy loved wildlife, enjoyed counted cross stitching of Angels and painted oil landscapes. She traveled to all 50 states, and never met a stranger. Dorothy was a loving person and always was in the center of a party!

Dorothy and Ray raised three children, Karla Rae (1958), Bruce Alan (1959) and Dennis Dean (1963). They also have five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; Son, Bruce and his wife, Lisa; and her Brother, Dale.

Visitation will be held at 9:30am, Funeral Services at 10:30am on Monday, June 20, 2022, both at Joy Lutheran Church, 7051 Parker Hills Ct. Parker, CO 80138.
