Obituary of Destiny Ann Nicole Zimmerman

Destiny Ann Nicole Zimmerman, a recently certified Esthetician, an extremely responsible and hardworking student was taken way too early; unexpectedly on June 29th, 2022, at the age of 17 she was in a tragic car accident.

Destiny is survived by her mother Jessica Salazar, father James Zimmerman, brothers; James Salazar and Isaiah Zimmerman; grandparents Gail Jordan, Bob Salazar, Raidene Hancock, and Jim Zimmerman; Aunties Bobbie Jo Salazar, Naomi Diaz, Kara Zimmerman, and Jamie Zimmerman; Uncles Robert Salazar, Bobby Salazar, Kevin Salazar, Chris Salazar, and Anthony Zimmerman. Destiny was known as auntie to Chanell and Chloe and has many cousins to tell and remember her legacy! She was very excited and ready to be the best auntie ever to her first unborn nephew and we will all let him know who his aunt Destiny was and how much she already loved him!

Destiny was born in Denver on September 17, 2004, to Jessica Salazar and James Zimmerman. She graduated from Chaparral High School on May 18th of 2022. At the same time, she was also completing a certification course to become an Esthetician on June 16th, 2022, and then planned on starting her own business. Destiny was such a hard worker and had a very bright future. Everyone who knew Destiny knew she was a little sassy, and she knew how to get things her way.  Our beautiful Destiny was always fierce and didn’t fear anything… except being home alone. No matter how busy she was with her work, certifications, and school she always made time to be very fashionable! Destiny had the kindest heart and would always go the extra mile for every person who crossed her path. Since she was a little girl, she always had this motherly instinct with all children she was around. She was very artistic, tough, and talented! When Destiny was a little girl, she loved horseback riding and she was always in different dance classes for jazz, tap, ballet and hip hop. As she went to middle school, she took on volleyball, while still doing gymnastics and wrestling, but when she had to decide between gymnastics and wrestling, she chose wrestling! Our beautiful Destiny was such a strong person, even through the hardest trials she persevered and didn’t show her pain. Most importantly, Destiny loved God! Through any hard times she would turn right to her Christian playlist and her bible stayed close to her bed! Destiny was baptized and accepted Jesus on September 20, 2015, at Crossroads. Destiny knew how to love others because the example of love in the household she was given, and her household was filled with family who know the best kind of love which is exampled by Jesus.
