Obituary of Elinor Lorraine Jones

Elinor Lorraine Grimes Jones, 91 of Parker, Colorado, formerly of Shepherdstown, West Virginia died peacefully on August 31, 2022. Elinor was born in Frederick, MD on December 27, 1930. She lived in Shepherdstown, WV with her late husband Benjamin Dexter Jones until he passed in 2017. Elinor then moved to Parker, CO to live with her daughter Sandy.

Elinor was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Howard Community College, MD in 1978, and worked as a orthopedic RN prior to retiring. She enjoyed reading, sewing, serving her church and community in Shepherdstown, and writing to all of her family and friends.

Elinor – “Petie” to her family and friends – is survived by her brother Thomas Grimes, two sons Clifford Dexter and Steven Michael and wife Margaret, and daughter Sandra Kimberly Dixon and husband Christopher. Elinor has 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
