A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Joy Lutheran Church, 7051 Parker Hills Court, Parker, CO. 80138 on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:00PM MT.

Laura was born on October 4th, 1963 in Defiance, Ohio, the youngest of two children to Robert and Hertha ("Hertie") Corson. The Corson's moved to Colorado in 1970, and Laura grew up spending a lot of time at the barn riding horses. She attended Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, graduating in 1986 with a degree in Accounting and with strong friendships from her time in her Pi Beta Phi sorority.

After working in San Jose, California, she moved back to Colorado and worked at Ernst & Whinney. She met Doug through mutual friends, and the story goes that she sent him a drink, not knowing it was actually his birthday! They were married in Denver on February 20th, 1993. Doug and Laura had Elizabeth (Liz) in 1994, Erin in 1997, and moved to their Parker residence in 2000.

Laura balanced life as a wife, (working) mother, friend, volunteer, and sister of Christ. She made time for her passions, dedicating hours to the horses and teaching her daughters the tried and true lessons of the barn. She picked up tennis more competitively within the last decade, cherishing her friends and the community that surrounded both her and Doug on and off the court.  Laura made every single day count and focused on displaying grace and love to every individual she met.

Laura lived her life constantly thinking of others, whether in volunteering roles or by lending a hand to a friend. To honor her memory, please consider donating to the Parker Task Force (link here) or Susan G. Komen Foundation (link here), two organization's and missions she was passionate about.
