Obituary of Kent Allen McKnight

Kent Allen McKnight was born on December 13, 1960, in Billings Montana to Robert Dale and Lucille Mae (Lathom). He died October 19, 2022, at his home in Parker, CO.

Kent graduated class of 1979 from Billings Senior High and received his degree from Eastern Montana College.  Kent worked at Buttrey Food & Drug in Billings and Great Falls and then continued his 40+ year grocery career with Albertsons, Inc. He was the Grocery Procurement Manager in Denver, CO at the time of his passing.

Kent loved his children and grandchildren fiercely and unconditionally. He was happiest when surrounded by family and he always made himself available for anything his children needed. Danelle and Kent shared many special memories throughout the years, traveling, camping, boating and just being together. He was famous in the family circle for his relentless dad jokes, his love of any gambling available, his luck at the casinos and his love and dedication to his fur babies.  His daughter Amanda was his pride and joy; he especially loved spending time with Cooper and Turner.

Kent was proceeded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Daniel. He leaves behind his life partner of over 20 years, Danelle Conway, and children: Amanda (Krista) Osterwyk-McKnight, Lisa (Josh) Balfanz, Tiffinie (Pete) Thares of Montana, Cari Jo McKnight of Arizona, Jessica Brunk of Kentucky, Brandi (Wade) Essick of Washington, Cody Brunk of Colorado and his brother Charles (Mary) McKnight of Idaho. Nine grandchildren: Cooper, Turner, Teagan, Mariah, Dylan, Rebekah, Madisyn, McKenna, Maciey, Baby Girl Essick, and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephew Chad and niece Ann Marie, sister-in-law Johnna (Mark) Eisenmann, brother-in-law Mark (Esther) Conway and many more nieces and nephews.

Thank you to all our dear friends and family that offered prayers and support during this difficult time.
