Obituary of Floyd Dial

Floyd Dial (72) passed peacefully in his home on Sept 21. His children, Travis and Tabitha, and his sister Barbara, aided him in his transition. He was known for his smile, his humor, and his work ethic.

His career in electrical engineering led him to his position as Senior Construction Coordinator at the Antarctic Support Association. He served in this regard for approximately 25 years.

He and his wife met in their hometown of Grand Junction. Avid Broncos, Rockies, and Avs fans, Floyd and Neila watched games together religiously. After 48 years of marriage, she preceded him in death in 2020. He then knew her as "my special angel". His wedding vows were his top priority.

In his youth, Floyd was active in Boy Scouts. He had a Marksman's award with the Jr Rifleman Association. He bowled on a league team for Dial Insulating with his parents and older brother, Don.

A humble and handy man, he joked that all the musical talent in the home came from his piano teacher wife, but Floyd was heavily involved in marching band. Following Travis' lead, Floyd was indispensable to the GJHS Tigers, repairing xylophones and creating items for Tabitha's Color Guard.

There were few things he regarded more than his respect for Country and love for Colorado. Above all, Floyd was a dedicated husband and devoted father.

Contributions are welcomed to Unite America -- Country Over Party.
