Denise, Mark, Brad and Lisa - I’m sorry for your double lose last year. It is one of my deepest, fondest memories to have been associated with your family. Ron and Barb taught me much . Very few days pass in which I don’t think of Denise. I still have pictures of Glacier park and the black hills. Again I am deeply sorry for your lose. I liked marks comments about the Eagle. For me it was a hawk and still is. Take care

It has been a little over a month since you crossed. We know that our prayers for your deliverance to God's hand were answered.
This will only have meaning to you, Deb and I but we heard the trombone played brilliantly and without flaw. The next morning we saw the EAGLE not only soar but stay with us and fly over us! We know you felt the need to show us Dad and our hearts are at ease knowing that you made it!
You no longer have those mysteries we talked about. One mystery that does not exist is our love, respect and great sense of loss we have experienced since you left.
We will see you in time sir!
We love you,
Mark (son) and wife Deborah

What a great USAF Wing Commander…Colonel Bishop was the finest leader I had who led by example with integrity, service before self, and excellence in all he did…our core values. He and Mrs. Bishop were the pillars of the 308th Strategic Missile Wing. They are well respected and loved by those of us who served him. Colonel Gary Lane, USAF, Retired…374th SMS, 308th SMW MCCC ‘81 - ‘85. Our prayers are with your family.

Dad,
I used to watch you as you prepared for work. I remember wanting to have that look, that command and control. You always put the safety and well being of your troops first. The respect they had for you was genuine because you were one of them and they would and did everything you requested and more!
I got to watch from the sidelines as your career progressed and was the proudest son in the world of you. As a Father, you always took the time to throw the ball, attend sporting events and encourage us along the journey. You never judged me and when I had issues with addiction, you were my only friend. When I divorced, you helped me without judgement or reservations. When I became a single Father, you were there with advice, wisdom and guidance. You taught me about honesty, integrity and character long before they were employed in my arsenal.
I guess the most special moments were the times you were able to administer my Oath of Reenlistment while I served in the Army. I detected a little pride in your voice on those days.
We were not able to visit after you left California and moved to Colorado but I felt you and know that you understand the, "mysteries" clearly now.
Now Dad, go rest high on the mountain and allow me the formalities of a heel click and a sharp salute from the crisp position of attention. I love you and miss you in the worst way. Rest well sir, well deserved! Love and Light.
