Obituary of George Michael Demetrion

George Michael Demetrion, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023.  He was born on June 8, 1934 in Chicago, IL, to George and Theresa Demetrion.  He lived in Elmwood Park, IL and was a graduate of Steinmetz High School and William Rainey Harper College. George spent 3 years in the Army, mainly in Alaska, serving his country. He married Mariane on June 4, 1966 and celebrated 57 years of marriage this past June 4th. George's career spanned 33 years working in the insurance industry in the then new world of computers. Retiring in 1993 and fulfilling a dream, George and Mariane moved to Colorado in 1994. George loved spending time with his family, volunteering, family vacations and cruises and he always had the ability to make anyone smile.  He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.

George is survived by his wife, Mariane, his sons, George, Andy, Tim and his wife, Camille; and his two grandchildren, Jonathan and Emersyn.

Preceding him were his mother, Theresa, his father, George and his sister, Rosalind.
