Obituary of Robert D. Craney

Robert Duane Craney (Bob) was born June 25, 1955 at Saint Luke’s Hospital, in Denver, CO, to parents Wilma (Stewart) and Duane Craney - just minutes before his twin brother, Richard.

Robert grew up with three siblings in Aurora, CO. He attended Jamaica and Fulton Elementary Schools, West Junior High, and Aurora Central High School.

In 1979, he married Cindy. They had two children, a boy Christopher (1982) and a girl Robin (1984). Eventually, Bob and Cindy went their separate ways - but he stayed very much involved in Chris and Robin’s lives.

Bob found happiness again when he met and married Sonya (Rodman Devos). They were happy and remained together until her untimely death in 2017.

Bob is survived by his son, Christopher Craney (Maggie), granddaughters Allie and Bailey, sister Suzanne Miller (Roger), and brother Richard Craney; nieces Brooke and Heather; stepson Sean Devos (Jennifer), step-grandsons Nathan and Justin. He was preceded in death by his daughter Robin, wife Sonya, brother William, and his parents.
