Obituary of Teri Hannon
Teri Marie Hannon – 75 yrs. old
2/12/1948 – 12/20/2023
Teri was born in Fulton, MO where her parents were both teachers at the Missouri School for the Deaf and they resided on campus. Teri’s first language was American sign language. After completing her undergraduate work at Kansas Wesleyan University, she obtained her graduate degree at the University of Arizona.
Upon graduating, she worked with the deaf and blind as a teacher and administrator for many years. Although she found this calling very fulfilling, she decided the travel and living in various locations had gotten old.
Her next career was in the insurance industry with a position at Liberty Mutual Insurance, followed by many years with Continental Insurance Company. Upon Continental closing their local office, she obtained her Real Estate License.
After starting in residential real estate, she decided to specialize in office leasing and management. She went to work with LaSalle Partners, which then became Jones Lang LaSalle.
The next stop took her to working as a real estate specialist handling lease administration for the US Postal Service where she worked until she retired in 2010. Upon retiring, Teri volunteered at the Parker Task Force & Food Bank until health conditions prevented her from continuing.
She resided in Parker from 1999 until her unexpected death in 2023. Teri is survived by her husband, Jay Hannon; little brother, Jon Morrell; several nephews; sister-in-law, Mary Hannon; brother-in-law, John Hannon and sister-in-law, Joanne Schultz.
She will always be remembered for her helpful attitude and kind heart. She was always first to volunteer, to bake a casserole, or help a friend or stranger in need. For all her medical challenges in the last 15 years, her great positive attitude through all her suffering, was an inspiration to all who know or interacted with her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 1/19/2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Hills Bible Church, 7137 Parker Hills Ct., Parker, CO 80138.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dumb Friends League Buddy, Center Castle Rock, CO.
