Obituary of Earnest Trujillo

                                             Earnest Robert Trujillo 

                                   September 2, 1946- January 28, 2024

On the morning of January 28, 2024, with the beautiful sunrise, Earnest Robert Trujillo entered the Kingdom of his heavenly Father. He is survived by his wife (ex) Ruth M. Cordova Trujillo They were married in Inglewood CA in 1970 and had a long and loving marriage for 52 years.

 He is also survived by his Sons, Eric W. Trujillo, Brian A. Trujillo, and Daughters Kimberly N. Trujillo Underwood, and Tonya Y. Duran and 5 grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly.

Earnest Robert was born on September 02, 1946, in Colorado Springs Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie B. Trujillo, and Dolores Alice Vialpando. He is survived by three brothers Jerry Trujillo, Ernie Trujillo, and Leroy Trujillo, six sisters, Brenda Alvarado, Linda Cappello, Ruby Thompson, Becky Hernandez, Margie Herrera, and Sally Rodriguez. His Brother David Trujillo passed in 1977 and Brother Eddie Trujillo passed in 2022.

Earnest Robert was drafted into the US Navy in 1964. He served in the US Navy on the USS Ranger CV61 from 1964 to 1967. He served proudly in the Vietnam war and the Gulf of Tonkin Sea as an Airdale.

He was employed with Sheet Metal Local #9 for15 years. He graduated from Pikes Peak Community College with a degree in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning. He also was employed With USAA Insurance in Colorado Springs for 15 years and retired in 2001.

Earnest Robert enjoyed so much in life. He loved his family, working on cars, the outdoors, hunting, camping, and fishing with his family Most of all he enjoyed his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and riding with family and friends for many years. He was an amazing husband, father, Grandfather, and friend. He was always loved by everyone who met him, and he will be dearly missed by all his family and friends forever.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C.
