I am so saddened to learn of Mark's passing. I knew Mark briefly from my time in the Air Force, when I was stationed there in Denver. He definitely had a passion for geology which he shared with anyone who had an interest. He was a good man and will be missed.

We (Wayne Adams, Mogi (our Mongolian Consultant from Calgary) and James Dukeshire) are so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. I just heard about this tonight. It is a little late I know, but never too late to say how heartbroken this makes us here in Canada.
With regard to the " TCG Global Gasification Technology" we travelled to the Calgary & Edmonton Oil & Mining Company Board Rooms and then on to the Alberta OIl Sands at Ft. McMurray, Mark never skpped a beat. Professional, always prepared and so technically capable. Mogi and I also travelled to Mongolia and presented the TCG Global Technology there. We never sold a plant, but not because of Mark and his technical backup team.
I witmessed some of our best Canadian Engineers fire some really tough questions across the boardroom table and with that big smile on his face, Mark would answer without hesitation. Total confidence. Always !!!!
He was so passionate about his gasification technology AND that passion was contagious to us all.
He was just a "great" guy and a consumate gentleman.
We will miss him dearly.

I was left breathless when I saw Mark’s name in Mining Engineering this evening. We shared a passion for flame safety lamps and would renew our banter at every conference on the show room floor. Being from St. Clairsville, he always promised to stop by on his way to Cadiz LOLOL. I can’t tell you (probably don’t have to) on what a generous and genuine man he was and I will sorely miss our banter at this years SME Meeting in Minnesota. Please accept my heartfelt condolences - a man that will be sorely missed but oh what a ride us mining guys take while we spend our time on earth before we meet again in the afterlife.
Sincerely, Steve Tadolini

My family and I will remember Mark as one of the best persons we have met. Just look at the beautiful family he and Kathy nurtured. I was blessed to be his office partner when we started our post-graduate studies in Golden and he instantly became my mentor, supporter but most certainly my friend.
How many people did he helped! We were just a few of many of them.
Kathy, Kent, Kari, Kaci and Kimberly, please receive our most sincere condolences and prayers.
With immense gratitude,
Ramon Mendoza and family

To the Wiley family I have many stories but the one that comes to mind. One night Robert Inman and I came up to his office and Mark was showing us around and we came to the conference room I believe and one of the shelves he had were all of these remote control trucks. Mark let Robert and I play with them than he Mark came in and play with them with us. But besides that you both open your home to the singles and the youth group. My parent told me a story that you all went down to Branson for a friends wedding and you all got to talk. As you know my dad loved cars so I am sure that both of them be talking about cars and god. Both of them were very godly men and have led many people to Christ, he will be miss by many and one day we will all be there. Mark you were a great person.

We are so sad and sorry to lose Mark. We have enjoyed so many Christmas gatherings with Mark and Kathy and the McNeils and Mark and I so often worked along parallel paths, catching up when we could. I especially loved Mark's passion for music. It was a reflection of his passion for life in its entirety. His energy, enthusiasm, optimism, and love of life will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
