Obituary of Patricia Lee Shaver

Patricia “Pat” Lee Shaver was unexpectedly taken from us on Sunday, April 12th and was welcomed into the Lord’s arms to join her mother Bobbie and father Joe Meglemre. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Gary of Broomfield, son Scott of Aurora, daughter Kristi and her husband Kevin O’Brien of Parker and two adorable grandchildren Colten and Corbin who were the joy of her life. She is also survived by her brothers, Dave Meglemre of Longmont, and Randy and his wife Linda Meglemre of Berthoud as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Pat grew up on a farm in Longmont where she also attended school and then went on to graduate from Colorado State University. She worked as an accountant for many years, making lifelong friends at Fattor, Probst and Dahlman and Clifton Larson Allen, where she had recently retired. Pat was on the Board of Directors for Northglenn Ambulance and an active member of the Christian Church of Broomfield. Pat had a love of horses since childhood and was involved in 4-H. Once she had children, she was blessed to get her children involved in horses through Westernaires, 4-H, and eventually spending weekends at horse shows making more wonderful friends. Most recently, she has enjoyed watching her grandchildren ride horses when they visited on the weekends. Services will be held at Christian Church of Broomfield on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:30 am. Viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the church. Final resting place Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge.
